The long-eared myotis (Myotis evotis) is a small brown bat with relatively large ears for its size (approximately 6 g). It is a western species found central Mexico to British Columbia. In Colorado, this bat is found throughout the mountains and through the western part of the state. It can be found up to 9,000 feet in various forest types, being associated with Ponderosa pine forests and other mixed coniferous forests.
