The silver-haired bat (Lasionycteris noctivagans) is a dark migratory tree-roosting bat with silver-tipped fur. It is found throughout North America, except Florida. In Colorado, the silver-haired bat is found throughout the state, primarily in forested habitats, roosting under bark or foliage or in cavities. This species, along with the eastern red bat and hoary bat, migrate great distances in spring and fall.
