The western small-footed myotis (Myotis ciliolabrum) is a small (5 g) bat that is similar in appearance to the California myotis, but has darker pelage and has less fur on its nose and a dark face (that looks like a black mask). This bat is widely distributed throughout much of Colorado from the low canyon country of southeastern and western Colorado to some higher mountain forests.
